Minette & The Flamingo

Glasshouse Nocturnes Part V

The flamingo had never been particularly interested in behaving himself. He preferred to look at his magnificent reflection in the inky water. He had an unfortunate weakness for anything that glittered and considered the great glasshouse entirely his own.

Minette, with her flaming red hair and dress of lavender petals, was the only creature whose opinion he held in any regard.

Even so, she had taken to keeping him on a gossamer thread of gold every night when they joined the others.

Neither of them cared to discuss the incident with the orchids!
