Glasshouse Nocturnes Part VI

As soon as the last visitors leave, the glasshouse begins to stir.

Beneath the towering palms, giant ferns and glossy magnolia trees, tiny figures emerge from amongst the blossoms and strange, musical voices drift through the foliage. The inhabitants of the glasshouse are gathering for the evening.

Ambrose is on his way, his enormous shell brushing against the freshly watered leaves as he heads towards the familiar voices. He can hear laughter now, carried through the warm, fragrant air and quickens his pace as best he can.

By the time Ambrose finally appears, the flowers are fully opened, the company is assembled and the conversation is in full swing.

But they've saved a space for Ambrose.

They always do.
